What is Foam Board?

Foam board is a lightweight, sturdy material made for creativity. At Excelsis Design, we offer boards in sizes from 8x10 to 24x36 inches, and in 1/8 or 3/16 inch thicknesses.

 

Choosing the Right Size: For small crafts or signs, 8x10 or 11x14 is perfect. For posters or large displays, go bigger—18x24 or 24x36.

 

Thickness Matters: 1/8 inch is great for layering or lightweight projects. 3/16 inch offers more strength for displays or 3D builds.

 

Black or White? White is classic and easy to paint. Black adds drama and hides edges for a sleek look.

 

Quick Tips: Use a sharp craft knife, cut on a safe surface, and plan your design before you start. Foam board is forgiving—don’t be afraid to experiment!
